ALL ABOUT ME - the stuff NOT on the CV

Well, not ALL about me, but enough to satisfy the curious, I hope. I am one of those paradoxical people who is "equally left and right brained." You could probably tell that from my website, which has both MATH and ART. I have degrees in math and computer science. I had a successful career in computer science before I got my PhD in order to persue my love of teaching.

When I am not working, I love to hang out with my husband and our three children. I have been a runner since 1978 and am currently taking ballet at COCA. This allows me to enjoy one of my favorite things guilt-free: eating out. I also love to paint and do anything "artsy."

I recently became initiated into the CSJ (Congregation of St. Joseph) Assocation. The Sisters of St. Joseph founded Fontbonne, where I currently work.

I am taking piano lessons and Suzuki violin to help our daughters do the same. I also love to read. C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien are two of my all-time favorite authors. Rilke is one of my favorite poets. I also like our own Jason Sommers' poetry.

I enjoy talking with logical and spiritual people, and exploring life. Finally, I enjoy learning new things. You can read some of my favorite quotes if you want to know more about me.
